As a personal challenge, I made a track for the KVRaudio.com contest ‘One synth challenge’.
You can buy NEStalgia here:
Glad you like it. I will.
Just got into Robot Koch’s work. It’s pretty much the kind of music I’d love to make. So inspired.
I did art direction and gamification consulting on this learn-to-read ipad app. If you have kids between 3-6 I guarantee they’ll have fun with it AND improve their reading skills. At least mine have. :)

I don’t remember exactly. Haha. I thin you look at a search result for your tag, like click on a tag in one of your posts and it’ll show a page with all those things you posted with that tag- then just copy that url.. ta-dah!
I’m not going to be able to make it there this time. Can’t take the time off and can’t really afford it. Really really wish I could though.
in your customize settings i think there is an ‘add page’ function. Depending on your theme and CSS it will style this and place it somewhere on your page. I set the page to show the results of tag search. All my music stuff I make sure to tag ‘music’, art stuff all has the tag ‘painting’= Instant subcategory pages :)
Polish name by way of my father’s father. So that makes me 1/4 I guess. I identify with my Polish heritage though.
Took me a while to respond but here you go.
I can’t identify where my ideas come from as there isn’t just one source but they usually do come while I’m away from the easel, computer, or sketchbook. e.g. trying to fall asleep, taking a walk, a shower, or reading a book. A lot of times I’ll get several mediocre ideas and combine them into a decent idea or one idea will launch me into a better one that I hadn’t initially contemplated.
Lately I’ve taken to sketching things out in photoshop as it’s much faster for iterating and manipulating compositions and references. I print the sketch (or prop up my ipad with it full screen) and then re-draw it onto gessoed wood panel. I then outline the sketch with ink or paint and build up several layers of paint washes on top of that. Sometimes I do the washes first and then sketch on top. After that i start adding in dark areas, texture, and building up the image. A lot of it is trial and error and everyone does it a bit differently. Develop a system, try variations, find a method that works well for you.
I’d recommend the book “Alla Prima” by Richard Schmid as a very good reference for painting theory and technique. Hope that helps a bit!

Good luck Jake. Strangely, I feel entirely uneasy if I go a day without creating something. It leaves me feeling restless and unfulfilled. Time spent consuming things is often at odds with creating things. Playing games, for example, can be the alluring siren song that pulls me away from projects I really want to do.

Most awesome response to a law suite EVER.
notch:
I am back, and I am excited.
Marriage has been wonderful so far, and nobody sabotaged my computer while I was gone.
The only negative thing going on at this moment is the Scrolls trademark lawsuit nonsense, and I think I came up with the perfect solution:
Remember that scene in Game of Thrones…
Yup! Sent it off!

A track I made a while back. Work in progress.
Woah! those are old pieces! The Michael Jackson piece was digital. I don’t have a high-res version of it. I should redo it as a real painting. :) I also don’t have a high-res version of the other piece. Sorry.
I use Daniel Smith acrylic paints for the most part. I also use Golden (brand).
